Former German President Christian Wulff Visits Changhui

On March 29, 2026, a delegation led by Christian Wulff, Former President of Germany and Honorary Chairman of the Global Alliance of Small and Medium Enterprises, paid a visit and inspection to Changhui Auto-Electric (Huangshan) Joint-Stock Company. (hereinafter referred to as "Changhui Electric"). He held in-depth exchanges with the company's senior management on topics including China-Germany smart manufacturing, industrial coordination of automotive electronics, technological innovation and international development, building an important bridge for the pragmatic cooperation between the two sides in the future. As a key figure who has long promoted the cooperation between the Chinese and German automotive industries, Mr. Wulff's visit has injected strong new vitality into Changhui connection with high-quality resources of the China-Germany automotive industry and the deepening of cross-border industrial collaboration.


Wang Zhengzhong, Chairman of Changhui, along with Deputy General Managers Fang Chungeng, Xu Hui, and Li Renhai, warmly welcomed and accompanied the delegation throughout the visit. Wulff and his party visited the company's cultural and product exhibition areas, as well as the combination switch workshop, gaining detailed insights into Changhui 's technological expertise, product portfolio, and lean production processes in areas such as automotive electronic appliances, intelligent control systems, and precision manufacturing. They focused on the company's innovative achievements in the research and development of core automotive components and product adaptation for new energy vehicles. During the tour, Wulff highly praised Changhui technological strength, refined production management capabilities, and innovative competitiveness built over years of deep industry focus. Drawing on his extensive experience in promoting Sino-German automotive industry cooperation, he offered constructive suggestions for the company's product upgrades and technological innovation direction.




During the subsequent symposium, Chairman Wang Zhengzhong extended a warm welcome to Wulff and his delegation and provided a systematic overview of the company's development history, core business segments, and strategic layout in Sino-German industrial cooperation. He noted that Germany holds globally leading advantages in high-end manufacturing, Industry 4.0, and core automotive electronics technologies. Changhui has always prioritized technical exchanges and industrial synergy with German companies and professional institutions. He expressed hope that this visit would serve as a crucial opportunity to leverage Mr. Wulff's extensive resources and influence to deepen cooperation in intelligent manufacturing, new energy vehicle electronics, and core component R&D, working together to promote complementary advantages and mutual benefits for Sino-German small and medium-sized enterprises.

 

In his remarks, Mr. Wulff pointed out that China and Germany have a solid foundation and broad development space for cooperation in the manufacturing and automotive industries. He emphasized that the automotive industry, as a pillar of Sino-German economic and trade cooperation, is a core driver for mutual advancement. He stated that Global Alliance of Small and Medium Enterprises would fully leverage its role as a bridge, utilizing its accumulated high-quality resources in the Sino-German automotive industry to help Changhui precisely connect with top German technology partners, high-quality component suppliers, and international market channels. He aimed to facilitate pragmatic and efficient cooperation in areas such as technology R&D, talent cultivation, and brand globalization, helping high-quality Chinese manufacturing enterprises steadily expand into the world market while further deepening the synergy across the entire Sino-German automotive industry chain, thereby continuing to consolidate and sustain the positive development momentum of Sino-German automotive cooperation.

 

During the inspection, the team of Academician Ying Fangtian, Secretary-General of the World Ecological Design Organization, was also invited to attend the symposium. Academician Ying Fangtian introduced that as a United Nations consultative organization, the World Ecological Design Organization currently maintains close cooperation with various UN agencies, has carried out a great deal of pragmatic work in technical empowerment, investment promotion and project implementation in the fields of international postgraduate education, biopharmaceuticals, new energy vehicles, cultural and creative industries, and has successfully facilitated a number of international cooperation projects. He stated that he looks forward to deepening cooperation and seeking common development with the Global Alliance of Small and Medium Enterprises and Mr. Wulff's team, and jointly supporting cross-border industrial innovation and upgrading.



The symposium concluded successfully in a warm and ceremonious award ceremony. Chairman Christian Wulff, on behalf of Global Alliance of Small and Medium Enterprises, presented Changhui with the "Global Automotive Parts Quality Award" and conferred the honorary title of "Outstanding Entrepreneur for the Global Expansion of China's Automotive Industry" on the enterprise's person in charge, in recognition of Changhui Electric's adherence to quality in the field of automotive components and its outstanding contributions in global development.
